Would you rather go a week without bathing, but be able to change your clothes, or a week without a change of clothes, but be able to bathe?
I would choose a week without a change of clothes but being able to bathe because I basically do that anyways.

Something I wrote and want to share with others
“Signs and wonders for faith” is looking for the sign first then to believe. It’s like wanting the end result first; wanting to eat your cake and then make it. “Signs for the good of men unto my glory” is seeking for signs after the trial of our faith as it so beautiful states in Ether 12:6; signs that are helpful to our salvation; signs that confirm our faith, not base it. Faith in Jesus Christ should be our foundation, not signs and wonders. The signs that are good to seek after are the signs that will help us to return to live with our Father in Heaven again. I really liked what it said in the Student Manual, of what we might say and what God does says. We may say, “Before I pay my tithing, I must know for sure that it is a true principle.” But God says, “First act in faith and pay your tithing, then will I give you evidence it is a true principle.” In a very simple statement, seeing isn’t believing, believing is seeing. I think of Laman and Lemeul who had many signs given unto them, yet they still did not believe.
In Mark 8:11, it helps us to see that “signs and wonders of faith is wrong: “And the Pharisees came forth, and began to question with him, seeking of him a sign from heaven, tempting him.” As well as in D&C 88:65, “And if ye ask anything that is not expedient for you, it shall turn unto your condemnation.”

“Signs and wonders for faith” is looking for the sign first then to believe. It’s like wanting the end result first; wanting to eat your cake and then make it. That seems to be an expectation that many people have in this day in age; buy now, pay later. Which you may say has nothing to do with this, but it does. Our society has it fixed in our minds that end results are to be acquired right now, rather than going through life and learning as we go. It’s totally like the ‘grass is greener on the other side,’ when I’m done with school, then I’ll be happy; once I get married, then I’ll be happy; instead of trying our faith and being happy with what we already have.

Discovering the Secret
My close friend told me I should watch The Secret because it helps you to be successful. I said that I would watch it the next day, but that turned into a week or two, until today, when I finally decided that I would watch it. But even the process of getting myself to watch it was interesting. I had to just do it, not planning, planning yes, on the back of my mind, but not like, 'I'm going to sit down and watch this movie.' Anyways, I watched the movie and it was absolutely amazing!!! I felt so much more energized, I felt I had more power to get what I want and to succeed in life. Success is something that I was not taught at home, but I am so grateful for this knowledge and understanding of the secret because it really does work. I mean, I haven't entirely tried it, now that I am aware of it, but something that one of the person's said in the film was that it's always going, whether you believe in it or not, whether you understand it or not, it's always going and it never stops. But, looking back at different experiences in my life, I can see that they happened, for good or for bad, because of the Secret. If you have netflix, check it out, it's now playing on instant stream. It's an hour and a half and that may seem like a long time, but, what's an hour and a half for a life time of success? Here is the official website. Check it out and begin to have power in your life from learning the secret.

Excited about Communications!!!
Today, I had planned to go sell plasma, but.....other stuff came up, which is funny because when I don't plan anything nothing comes up and then when I do plan to do something, things come up. But these were good things. My friend, Carlee, needed my help for a 30 second info commercial for one of her classes. So I met her at 10am and we worked on that for awhile and then we went to work on a group photo project and then we parted ways for like half an hour. I ate lunch and then we met up at the radio station and let me tell you, today was soooo great! I love that feeling of being busy and slightly rushed. Every one tells me that I am so lucky because I only have one class, but no, you're all wrong. I am not lucky. It's really hard. It's hard on a different scale that I do not like. You might say that it would be easier to get my homework done and what not else, but no. One of my weaknesses is being idle and lazy; it's so easy for me to be idle which means that having so much free time is dangerous for me. I need to keep busy, I need to have stuff to do, I need places to go, places to be, people to meet and see. Otherwise, I procrastinate, waste my time, and end up doing stupid stuff and then sometimes I even get depressed because I'm so bored, but I think that the big thing is that I feel like I'm not living up to my full potential. My parents think it would be better for me to ease myself into school, but my older sister, and me as well, thinks that if I just dive in, I will do great. I really am looking forward to next semester. I'm not sure what I'm going to do this month because I might go insane! This is the photo that my friend and her group were working on and I think I might end up like this by the end of the semester:

Halluncinating and talking with people that aren't there :)

How to Say No Without Feeling Guilty
These are some quotes from Connie Hatch and Patti Breitman's book, 'How to Say No Without Feeling Guilty
"Taking good care of yourself leaves you in better shape to help someone else."
"You simply don't have the power to change someone who doesn't truly want to change. The only behavior you can change is yours."
"Say no to martyrdom. Say no to taking responsibility for problems over which you have no control. Say no to putting your life on hold while waiting for someone else to address his problem."
