Okay, so I bought a net book yesterday and I'm pretty excited about it. The keyboard is a little crowded, but I like it like this so much more than the big laptops where your whole arm is practically on the laptop just to reach the keyboard. Plus, this is small and compact and easy to carry around and easy to stash.

General Conference
I was able to attend the Sunday afternoon session in the Conference Center. It was very enjoyable and the dresses that the sisters in the choir wore were different on TV than they were in real life. In real life, they were more of a teal, springy, happy, jelly bean color; whereas on TV they just looked blue.
Afterwards, we, me, and two other girls I was with, headed to the car and one of them said to me,
"You're really good at taking notes."
My reply was, "No, it's just that the Lord has so much He wants me to do."
I thought it interesting that I responded in that way. I really felt like the Lord was talking to me and telling me and reminding me of the things that I must do. A few people have asked me what my favorite talk was, as expected, but this time around they all seemed to blur together, into one great message for me. On Saturday, I was in Utah, visiting my sister and brother and friend and my sister and I listened to it on the radio, but both of us fell asleep. Same thing happened in the afternoon session. I woke up once during the morning session and this is the thing that I heard and have been thinking about: Provide for yourself
I really felt the Lord was speaking to me this weekend. I wrote some things down, some notes specifically to me, but I believe that others can benefit from them too. I'll share a few of them with you.
*What are the Lord's expectations for me?
*Exercise - a natural anti-depressant
*Let go, let go, let go, let go!
*What are my spiritual gifts? talents? abilities?
*Meditation
*Invite the Spirit into my life
*If we hold back and don't share that which we have, it will be taken away from us. Don't hold back, shine and share, share and shine.
*Become intimate with the scriptures
*Keep those things which are sacred, sacred, and tucked away deep in your soul and only to be shared with God and yourself
*Be humble, but not self-righteous
*Write down daily 1. Those blessings of which I am grateful for and 2. My strengths, talents, and abilities (perhaps also my weaknesses and how I can make them into strengths)
It seems like a lot, but these were the ones that I thought could apply to others as well.
I'm really enjoying life and I loved this weekend :)
