This is a video that Jenny and I made the night before she left to go back to Utah from her visit at home for Christmas. It's kind of funny, actually. I admit, I'm corny, so is Jenny, but that's what makes it so fun. Since I don't have any filming equipment, I just had to post it the way we filmed it. I hope you enjoy it as much as we enjoyed making it!

This has been

S.T. Harriot, or Helga Hoffsmith :)

Let's Play "Tag! You're It!"

A. The rules of the game are posted at the beginning.
B. Each player answers the questions about themselves.
C. At the end of the post, the player then tags 5 people and posts their names, then goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment, letting them know that they have been tagged and asking them to read your blog.

5 Things I was doing 10 years ago:
Ok, so I know Amy tagged me a LONG time ago, but I decided I ought to do something productive today. I too, looked back at old journals, or I should say, my old journal. I wasn't much of a good record-keeper when I was younger - I'm just glad I'm a little better now :) I'm also going to include my horrible spelling. Oh yes, I would have been 11 and in 5th grade. Well, here goes:
1. MARCH 15, 1998: "Yesterday Salas and Brandley came over, because we had to babysit them. Brandley would'nt eat any meals but litte snaks. He kept on crying. This was after we got him to sleep. And that took us a long time. We had to (Me and Becky), rock him in a blanket. AFter he wokd he cryed and cryed. I don't like when babys cry or anyone else, so I prayed that Brandley would eat and he ate lots of pineapples and a whole slice of pizza! I'm glad we have the gift of pray. We can use it in so many ways. From Megan and Mallory
2. APRIL 26, 1998: "Yesterday I was sick. I had a sorgh throught, a bad headache and I was very secentevened."
3. MAY 3, 1998: "Becky and I named a name for the rombi and a stick. It is called "Duck Hunting". It's a really good sport. Today is fast Sunday. We are fasting for a good house to live in and not to be so board."
4. JULY 19, 1998: "Yesterday at 1:30 we went to se "Mulan" It's about ulan whos goes as a man to fight in war. This movie takes palce in china. Today was Jade's Babtizpeted. Mom made me a new pair of B.J.'s. It's a pink plaid. It is very comforbore.
5. NOVEMBER 22, 1998: "Today in church, Bishop Dawosn was released form the Bishop rick. Do you know what? "Dad" is know the Bishop! I was and am scoked! I strated the calirent this year."

5 Things on my to-do list today:
1. Get well
2. Eat
3. Take it easy and be warm
4. Watch a movie
5. Get another Kleenex box for my room

5 Snacks I enjoy (today isn't the best day to ask me, since all that sounds really good is a cough drop, which I'm eating now! But I'll try my best not to gag about thinking of all my favorite sweet treats!):
1. It's not really a snack, but then again it is for me! Death by Chocolate - mmm mmm good!
2. Fruit snacks - more like sugar snacks!
3. Pretzels - chocolate covered, white covered, and plain of course
4. Almost anything with chocolate
5. Dried fruit and good figs

5 Things I would do if I were a Billionaire:
I say the same as Amy and Becky about doing the obvious things.
1. Get all the fliming equipment that I could ever possibly need and want to make my such fabolous videos/movies!
2. I like what Amy said about the houses - though I want houses like, inflatable ones, a house that has water in it, a house made entirely out of chocolate - like In Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. I also want a somewhat regular house with a completely white room that the family can go in there and get crazy with art without worrying about messing something up.
3. Figure out some kind of machine that can record your dreams at night!
4. Open up my own cafe - YourMom's Cafe
5. Travel the world

5 of my bad habits:
1. Reading late into the night - like 2 or 3 or even sometimes 5!
2. Not eating very well, or at all
3. Eating sugar junk a lot and lots of it
4. Picking my nails down to stubs until they hurt to do anything - and with that ruining my shirts in the process.
5. Sticking my nose in other people's business, even if it involves snooping.
I guess I have a lot of bad habits because I came up with these just like that!

5 places I have lived:
1. North Carolina - I don't even remember it, but I was born there.
2. Michigan
3. Iowa
4. Utah
5. Ha! I only just realized that I've only live in 4 states! But I guess my I could count the two different places I lived in Iowa: Iowa City and Davenport.

5 Jobs I’ve had:
1. Nanny with a family near us the summer I graduated
2. Fazoli's - great breadsticks!
3. Trafalga Family Fun Center
4. Subway - Eat Fresh. Acutally, my job at Subway was the longest job I've ever had: a little over a year. Rock on!
5. I guess I've only had 4 jobs in my life as well; unless of course you count all the babysitting I've done since I can't rememeber!

5 Things people probably don’t know about me:
1. I have strange ideas and stuff and when I try to explain them to others they just say to me, "You're funny Megan!" Gee thanks - just playing :)
2. As lazy as I am, I really like to work
3. As of right now, just thinking of eating something remotely sweet that isn't anything other than a cough drop, makes me sick.
4. I can't live without chapstick - I'm addicted to it
5. I'm not as quiet and innocent as I look or appear to be. I've been know to do some not so nice things to others and my family has told me numberless to shut up.

I tag Stephanie, except I don't know how to do that cool thing Amy did with our names.

I admit this took time, but it was a lot of fun. Probably the most productive thing I'll do all day :)

I Got the Flu

Ok, so yesterday I got the flu and to tell you the truth, I feel like crap. I know that's not very nice to say, but that about sums up how I feel and about how much I can think. Sometimes it's pretty ok, but other times, not so much. Right now it's pretty poor - except that I'm bored out of my mind. I know there are a million things to do, but I just don't have the energy to do them. Sometimes I cough so much, I'm sure my thoart will come out in the process. And not only does my thoart hurt, but my ears itch like crazy, my nose is running a lot, I get cold shivers - yet I'm hot. Hot and Cold, not always the funnest. Plus you know everything is practically worse when you're sick. You can't listen to music because it's pounding in your head and you feel like your head is going to split open. No matter how much 'good stuff' you put in your miserable body, it still hurts like crazy. I guess it's just a week of easy going - I'd kind of rather not have it. But like they say, 'you grow more from your tough times than your easy times' even you have the flu.

Ok, so last night I was talking to some friends; sometimes I wonder why I talk to them when they always rile me up. Well there is one 'friend' in particular that I do not really care for. He's kind of stupid because, well, let me show our 'lovely' conversation last night - pretty much the same conversation we have everytime we talk, though sometimes I actually may be nice to him.

friend: hows megan doing?

me: about the same as crap

friend: im sorry y

me: something called the flu

friend: i know the feeling

friend: y r u not talking

me: cuz i'm busy

friend: w what

me: stuff

friend: what stuff

me: stuff i usually do online

friend: im trying to talk to you silly

me: so

friend: so what

me: so i have to go now

me: FHE

friend: yr late

me: no i'm not

me: FHE starts whenever we feel like it

Yeah, so I'm not actually sure why I'm including this in my blog, except it annoys the crap out of me and that's pretty much how I feel. Besides, everything is worse when you're sick.

Mom's Birthday

Last Wednesday, Mom woke me up at 7:30am and we made corn cakes together. Mom made her plate look so nice, she had me take a picture. Here it is:
Can you see the hidden animal in it?

I had a lot of fun with Mom making her Birthday Breakfast and then eating it with her. Oh yes! I almost forgot: We saw our Friend, the Hawk in our neighbor's tree. He was there for awhile and then he left and then he came back.
Also, here are some pictures of the floweres Mom received from Amy:

And here are pictures of the ones she recevied from Stephanie and Kevin:

And Dad got her these for her Birthday, I believe:

CALVIN AND THE SNOWMEN

A guy I know, sent me an email with several comics of Calvin and Hobbes. They're pretty funny.

One day, when it has snowed all day the previous day before, I saw him in the front lawn (he's my neighbor as well) and he was working on something. This is what he was working on:

The other day I was watching videos on youtube, probably all day. I came across this one, and I really enjoy it. It speaks to me, maybe it will to you too.

Oompa Loompa's

I found this the other day, I really like it. There's one part in here that reminded me of Jenny, or something she would laugh at.
Enjoy!

My Obsession

Yet again another movie; I am indeed becoming obsessed with all this, but what can I say? I love making videos and taking pictures of others and everything else for that matter. I think it is my new hobby and possibly my new talent which I wish to continue and get better at. It brings me joy, it gives me something to do, it's interactive, it creates memories, and the list keeps going on and on and on and on !!!!!!!

Oh, by the way, you may be wondering what this video is of? Sorry I forgot to say, I got distracted - something that is not unknown with me :) - this video is one of the few :) I took while we were on our way home from dropping someone off. Me and my family in the van on a snowy day trying to get home all in one piece. Enjoy!

P.S. You don't have to watch the whole video, it's mostly just for fun and I know it is kind of long.

Warm Dinner on a Cold Night

Emily and Mom had made a meal using the crockpot; so when we returned home from our adventoruous journey through the snow, a warm dinner was ready with candles to help us enjoy it all.

As you can see, everyone enjoyed the meal! Even me, it's just that I was the photographer for this event.

SNOW!!!

I never read or listen to the weather forecast, but I heard that we were supposed to get light flurries. As you can see from these pictures, it is quite definitely not light flurries. By the time we left from church, aroudn 4:30pm, there was tons of snow on the ground and still coming down. The snow looks so soft and fluffy and inviting to me, so I just had to take some pictures. This one is my favorite :)

I really like this picture of our deck, the way the snow is, the color of the deck, and the angle of it all, it just really grabs my eye.

Lots and lots of snow!!!
This is on our deck, and it's usually how we tell how much snow we get. Looks like a lot.

My Last Day Situation

Saturday January 26, 2008 was my last day at Subway. I went in at 7 to open, left at 11, came back at 4 and worked unitl 9ish. Sarah and I were hanging out and being bored, so we decided to do some crazy things, not that crazy, but sort of for me; and then Sarah decided she was going to video tape what we had done. So here it is for all to see, my last day situation. Enjoy!

My Friends

These are my friends that I generally hang out with, the ones I'm usually up with until 2 in the morning, and the ones I usually try to record. They are my friends, though they seem to grow quiet when I pull out my video camera and record them.

I need to learn to be more sneaky.
